Project Coordinator – New Business Development >>
Based in Middletown, CT and reporting to the Sr. Project Coordinator, Project Coordinators focus on identifying and securing new solar energy project sites, negotiating solar power agreements, managing relationships with utility companies and evaluating project viability. The Project Coordinator will also identify and evaluate project acquisitions, RFP opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering concentration desirable), MBA a strong plus.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of previous experience in energy project development required – preferably in solar, wind, or natural gas electricity generation projects.
- Ability to build relationships with major stakeholders from the commercial, municipal and utility markets.
- Exposure to renewable energy issues and economics.
- Experience in power markets, utilities, interconnection issues, incentive structures and Power Purchase Agreements
- International experience and foreign languages a plus.

Project Manager – Construction Management/Superintendent >>
Based in Middletown, CT and reporting to the Vice President of Construction, the Construction Superintendent will focus on managing post-contractual stages of project development specifically related to solar energy power plant construction. Project Managers will work alongside structural and electrical engineers during system design phases and will see the project through to commissioning and utility interconnection.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering concentration desirable).
- Electrical License preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 7 years of previous experience in renewable energy power plant construction required – preferably in solar.
- Ability to deal with local community dynamics, negotiate with utilities, as well as negotiate effectively with landowners and other stakeholders.
- Exposure to renewable energy issues and economics.
- Experience working with solar equipment and a proven track record of high-performance installations required.
- Familiarity with market costs for construction materials and procurement experience required.

Greenskies Internship
Greenskies is currently seeking highly motivated graduate students for a high-paced internship in the renewable energy sector. Greenskies Internships are a great way to learn more about a complex, emerging market and how to play a role in the fastest-growing sector of the energy industry.
Greenskies Internships allow graduate school students to fully engage the solar energy industry by working alongside Greenskies solar professionals in a number of industry disciplines from project acquisition to utility interconnection and system design. Be prepared to work with an engineer on a site visit one day or to help a team piece together a proposal the next.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program, engineering degree preferred but not required.
- 3.0 or better Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Superior verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of core solar energy concepts
- Basic understanding of the components of energy projects including federal and state-sponsored incentive programs, net-metering and utility infrastructure a plus.
- Experience organizing projects
- Periodic travel to project sites and other meetings as required
- Demonstrated team coordination, leadership and management skills
